My sense, after working with the staff of the zoo for the last four years, is that while Linda might have some good points about the elephant enclosure, she is almost totally ignored by the "in your face" approach. Unfortunately, that did not go over well with the last group that ran the Zoo...Ken Redman et.al. Possibly the new zookeeper will be a little more accomodating. I point blank think that, despite its size, the zoo could be world-class and a real attraction to residents and visitors.
