We raced out of the house earlier than normal, about 5:45 a.m., after I looked out and saw the beginning colors of dawn.

It was worth it. We stopped for a couple of minutes at Swanzy Beach Park as the sun slid into view. Conditions seemed perfect for a green flash as the sun appeared, so I started running a little video. But the sun slowly appeared and…no flash. And, without a tripod, you’ll have to put up with a bit of video in motion.

No worries, still plenty beautiful!

The sun was fully above the horizon when we got past that last bunch of houses and got down off the highway and onto the beach. Glad we were there!
