I checked the clock, got out of bed, and walked down the hall to feed the cats about 4:45 this morning. Somewhere between the bedroom and the kitchen, our part of Kaaawa lost electricity. Luckily, it came back on within about 20 minutes or so. Could that be considered a good start to the day? [...]

Electricity went off in Kaaawa a little before 5 a.m., was back in about 20 minutes. Then, another 20 minutes, off again. We’re in the dark now. I’m running on battery power with Sprint broadband card to do this update. I’ll be back later whenever power is restored.
