I think I’ve further identified the event associated with the photo of Duke Kahanamoku posted here on Wednesday.

This is a follow-up photo of a Kamehameha Day Celebration on June 11, 1944, sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

And here’s the back of the photo, with caption identifying it as an official U.S. Army Signal Corps photo, stamped “Not Classified”.
