Hi I loved this article. I realize it’s a few years old, but I’m about to move from a house with my three boys (who are brothers and all three years old) to a 10th floor condo. They have lived in the house since kittenhood, although have not gone outside. I have some leftover Feliway that is from my previous beloved cat – from 2008. Questions are (1) do you think Feliway will work for the big move to comfort the boys and (2) will a bottle that’s 4.5 years old be out of date now?

Cat vs. Cat is a great book that explains multiple cat household behaviors and gives solutions to problems (like Feliway). You may find it invaluable.

So does Feliway have a strong odor? Does it smell like cat pee?

Hubby plans to rake up and dispose the mulch next to our 3 palm trees so that our 2 cats won’t pee there. The odor can be quite strong at times.

At one point, we had 10 cats in our patio. I took 8 to the humane society, because there were just too many cats. I admire your patience!
