I called it Kalia Towers because that is what Ian's dad described it as such, but I guess you are right. The dome was in the general vicinity, but I follow you. Agreed on Martin Denny. Wasn't the world premiere of "Around the World in 80 Days" at the dome with the late Mike Todd, producer and wife Liz Taylor?

"I believe those Kalia Towers replaced the Kaiser Dome that was there for about 40 years, Don Ho, The Alii’s, Jim Nabors, etc. all headlined at the dome for many years."

Towers?! Plural? There are two there now? or more?
I don't... believe it.

No. they (or it, the Kalia Tower, ) did not replace the dome. basically, the whole area was leveled, and re developed. The tower (s) are (is) not in the place where the dome was. So, the oversized hula dancers, the Bishop Museum annex, the waterfall/pools, etc. replaced the dome and the miniature golf and the large carved ki'i akua and the old entrance. I walked around that area often, back then, thankfully taking video and pics, so still know it well. Martin Denny, in my estimation, a major headliner there, should not be omitted from the shortlist of greats who helped retain the Kaiser Dome in memory.
