News consumers should not want news from their peers. Most people couldn't report much beyond the end of their noses. When anyone can do "journalism", it will become worthless. This is just another way for corporations to do news on the cheap, and it will be worth exactly what they pay for it. When anyone can do “journalism”, it will become worthless. This is just another way for corporations to do news on the cheap, and it will be worth exactly what they pay for it.

And we wonder why the level of public discourse these days is so low.

But it turns out he says he's moving to Honolulu... I should have known better...
