Sometimes a mistake can turn out okay. This morning was one of those times. I shouldn’t have tried to take this photo looking right into the bright sun. As the camera tried to adjust to the extremely light, it turned the sunrise into what looks like a moonscape. Interesting….

We were out early Friday morning for the sunrise in Kaaawa. We weren’t disappointed. This was the view at Swanzy Beach Park at 5:57 a.m. The sun made its appearance a couple of minutes earlier.
