There is, it seems, no treat as rewarding as chasing a ball. Or so Ms. Inu tells us. When she visits the beach in the early morning, she is totally focused on that ball. We’ve tried offering dog biscuits. Forget it.

Alice Brown is alive and very well, thank you. She turned 7 in July. Time flies. She’s been walking with Pua and Miss Marvelous.
