It rained at 5 a.m., and an hour later, as we got ready to head out on our morning walk to the beach, there was still an intermittent drizzle. But it cleared before we got down to the fire station and crossed Kamehameha Highway to Swanzy Beach Park. But as we headed down toward the beach, the dark clouds on the horizon let loose, and we could see that large area of rain blowing in our direction. Eventually it crossed our path, and our umbrellas offered only partial protection. For several minutes, we stopped under a tree and tried to avoid the worst of the blowing rain. Then it slowly cleared for our walk back home.
