I’m not really a techie, although I’m trying my best to tread water in the rush of technology.
So it’s taken me a while, but yesterday I finally downlaoded and installed the WordPress mobile package.
What does that mean for you?
Hopefully, it means that you can visit iLind.net from your Blackberry, iPhone, or other mobile phone or device and you’ll get a streamlined version of this site, scaled down to display on your phone a lot faster and easier than the full web version.
If you’d rather have the whole enchilada, there’s a link at the bottom of the mobile page that will take you there.
I’ve just used mostly the default settings so far, so would welcome your reactions and/or suggestions.

Looks great on my iPhone!
It looks too spartan on my iPhone. Are there different templates available for different themes? I would suggest the titles of each entry should be in a colored field to clearly differentiate one story from the others.
On your iPhone, compare the layout of your mobile version with Shapiro’s. Obviously, you don’t have to copy his, but I think it is easier to navigate at a glance:
blog.volcanicash.net
Thanks, Ian! Your site looks great on my BB!
Once Eris and I figured out what you had done, we got along fine. I agree that the mobile version looks spartan, and could use some way to clearly differentiate one story from another.
Okay, feedback appreciated.
The mobile iLind.net has already undergone a facelift.
Hopefully this one addresses the issues raised.
As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome after you check out the latest look.
Looks good to me. I always judge a mobile interface on the basis of ease to read/post comments. This seems to work on that score.
