This week I got quite few pictures while out on the deck in the late afternoon. In this photo, Romeo greets Wally and Duke, and signals that he would like to get a few licks on his head. I don’t think he succeeded this time around.
Romeo has been living the life of a mostly inside cat for several weeks now, probably about a month. We let him out for ten minutes or so morning and evening, and that seems to take the edge off.
This morning’s feline friday was interrupted by howling from out by the garage. When I reached the scene, Romeo was puffed up and confronting an orange cat from next door. Romeo is bigger and heavier, and the other cat was just trying to find a way to retreat though the fence without being attacked. Romeo, however, felt he had to get a few whacks to cement his claim the the territory. I had to go next door and retrieve him. He did get one scratch to his left ear, but otherwise appears unscathed.
And so it goes on another Friday with our Kaaawa cats.
