The breakthrough came three weeks ago, when Silverman suddenly began showing up daily for meals. Food, it seems, is a motivator for cats as well as dogs, although cats are much less obvious about it. On weekends, when we're around to keep track, Silverman's been coming in several times a day. He's just not as domesticated as the other cats, but he's around in the general vicinity most of the day.
