But other information confirms the writer was Don Baker, a Washington-based antitrust attorney who had been battling the newspaper companies in cities across the country on behalf of the Newspaper Guild. Baker, who had served in the Justice Department back in the 1970's, later surfaced as attorney for the citizens' group, Save Our Star-Bulletin.
