Hi all,

I have a problem. I'm going on a research trip to the Arctic this summer
for four full months (May-Aug). I had arranged for house/pet sitters to
cover this time, but then - I sold my house!!! I just accepted an offer
on it, which will close at about the time I'm leaving for the Arctic
(Apr 25). [I'm not moving away, just moving around in HI.]

So, now I'm looking for a temporary home for my dog (Leia) and my cat
(Loki). Ideally they would go together (they're best buds), but if
that's not possible, I think I can ask a neighbor to take of Loki (he's
pretty independent). Leia's the one I'm worried about. She's shy and
gentle, takes a while to get used to new people, and doesn't like
disruption very much. She gets along with some other dogs, but I don't
think she'd do well sharing a house with another dog. Once she gets to
know you, she is very sweet and affectionate (see attached pics).

Do you happen to know any *wonderful* people who might be interested in
taking her, or even both of them, for the summer?
