| That was our destination. The upper reaches of Waialae Nui. In this photo you can see the first phase of homes on the lower slopes along what must be Halekoa Drive, which didn't yet reach the large water tank. As I recall, you could drive to the water tank and hike from there. I believe this photo is taken from Pueo Street. The overgrown area is now the park behind Kahala School, then an undeveloped lot.
