From the Campus Beat column in Ka Leo, student newspaper at UH-Manoa (June 17 issue):
Sunday, June 7
Congressman Neil Abercrombie reported that his car had been stolen from the UH President’s residence. He had left his car at the unoccupied house while on a trip to Washington, D.C. We park in front of the UH president’s house occasionally, as we live in the neighborhood too. Cars get broken into and stolen from the street all the time. The clipping doesn’t say Abercrombie parked inside on the property, nor does it say that security towed the car; without that info, nobody has any reason to assume that either occurred.
Abercrombie drives a regular car, nothing fancy. He doesn’t take on any airs and I don’t think it’s really fair to imply that he does. Seems like a cheap shot to me.
to clarify, seems a cheap shot on the part of the Ka Leo writer, not you, Ian.
i’m so ready for feline friday.
remember when you used to post dog things once a week too? that was great.
