Felicia, now a tropical storm, is out there somewhere, about 700 miles from us and potentially coming pretty much straight in this direction.
It’s amazing how that little blip on the horizon, a sailboat making its way towards Kaneohe, catches the eye and the attention. There’s a huge storm out there, but it’s the tiny anomaly on the otherwise smooth horizon that your eyes lock onto.
Anyway, should I just title this, “Before”?

Hmm. So, the storm is on a more Northerly track than projected earlier and will pass North of Kahului.
The Advertiser’s “Interactive map of the storm’s latest reported location” is quite useful. If you click on one of the dots along Felicia’s projected path, you can see its projected speed at that point. If you then put your mouse on a city, it will tell you how far it would then be from that city.
