Sunrise on the last day of 2009. Viewed from the beach in Kaaawa, Hawaii.

And it came complete with a “green flash” as the sun appeared over Molokai.

Another beautiful day until the fireworks started. Please, please, please, legistlators, ban all fireworks in Hawai’i forever and ever this session.
