It’s another Feline Friday, and I was totally unprepared this morning. So out came the camera. I waylaid Harriet while she was getting herself a drink. In my bathroom. From my toilet. The problem is that she goes outside and rolls in the dirt, then comes in and leaves muddy footprints around the toilet seat. It’s a constant battle between us. She drinks, I clean. The all the cats responded to the sound of cat dishes coming out of the closet. The photos aren’t great, but the images are.

Ummm…. Ian, my mom raised me to lower the toilet seat when I was done with it.
Isn’t that an easy solution to your problem?
Sorry for pointing out the obvious.
But then poor Harriet will have to learn to raise the seat!
For a moment, Ian, I thought that, like one of my co-workers, you had trained Ms. Harry to use the potty. That really could save some time and money.
Unless, of course, you put the lid down like Larry says. In my house, it wasn’t “put the lid down after you’re done,” it was “put the SEAT down after you’re done.”
Clearly Harriet DOES have a drinking problem ! In my house it is Feral Franny with this same problem so sometimes I’ll put the lid down to keep her out of there but for the most part it just seems like paw prints on the toilet seat add a little character to the bathroom.
