It’s very early on another Feline Friday, and we’re awake in advance of the predicted arrival of a tsunami triggered by the huge earthquake in Japan.

All the cats are safely indoors, including Mr. Toby (the star of this photo). He’s back on a serious diet. I have to feed all the cats, and then carefully monitor all eight dishes. Toby will finish his and then go after any other food left undefended. I’ve been clearing any leftovers before he can get to them, otherwise he’ll eat anything available. That’s why he’s a bit tubby. Hopefully we’ll see some diet results before too long.

Of course, the cats don’t know about the tsunami, but they are interested in the unusual middle-of-the-night activity. I can see their brains working overtime…Does this mean an extra meal?

This will all be resolved, one way or the other, by the time today’s feline fotos are posted.

Hoping for the best….

[postscript: All’s well that ends well. It was a long night, but it doesn’t appear that there was any damage along our coast. I even got couple of hours of sleep!]
