It’s that time of year. Dog season!

Now that the sun is coming up earlier–sunrise is was at 6:06 a.m. on Wednesday morning–there’s enough light to get our canine friends on camera. So at least for the next few months, you’ll get a dose of our many Kaaawa dogs, along with the regular Friday morning cats.

Here’s a teaser. This is Ms. Ipo, the beautiful and excited German Shepherd, and Ms. Emma. They share a big yard in Kaaawa, and they are among the first dogs we visit with each morning.

Some days, as you’ll see if you click the link below to see all of this week’s dog photos, they get to go on an early beach walk and we catch up with them there.

I carry a canvas bag full of large Kirkland dog biscuits, and a little plastic sandwich bag with Yummy Chummy treats for a few small dogs. This buys us enthusiastic greetings across the neighborhood.
