Last week, I felt like I was on the edge of getting sick. I hunkered down, got lots of rest and fluids for a couple of days, and the danger seemed to pass.
Then on Sunday, Meda came down with what seems like a bad cold, roaring cough and lots of congestion in head and chest. Again, I tried to stay out of her way, and thought that I might sneak past it again.
No such luck. I’ve been down now for several days. Head cold, cough, congestion. Luckily, this one hasn’t included a sore throat, and hasn’t moved down into my chest.
My brain feels like it’s filled with used Kleenex, and I managed to have enough energy to cook, eat, and crawl back into bed.
Lucky for me–the cats love this arrangement. What’s better than a cat nap on our bed with a person in the mix?
A little more luck and I’ll be able to post something substantive tomorrow.

That is a fine picture!
Practice breathing out all the air in your lungs as you get better to avoid getting any worse. Be well. John
A very contagious flu. Lots are getting it. (Thot I got away from 2 in family having but contracted a 4-day malaise, where I could work but with little energy) Up the greens and medicinal teas. Give immune system some aid. Get well soon !
Want to querie you, on what you think of our legislature, most of whom lawyers, who blatantly introduce / pass legislation favoring attorney business? A huge conflict of interest IMHO, furthering the litigious nature of conflict resolution that has crippled citizenry financially.
I have even recently noted Scott Saiki’s record blemished by obvious vote to favor attorney power. I had always considered him to be more constituent biased.
If a citizen so notes what they feel is a conflict of interest in bill introducing that favors attorney business over citizen welfare, what are avenues in voicing concerns that really can be effective? (Don’t think I’m the only one seeking answers to this question. Your ability to know ways of getting public info have garnered many thumbs up.)
It sounds more like the 2-3 week cold that has hit many people here and on the mainland. You just have to wait it out. I had it through Christmas and New Years. : (((
LOTS of kleenex, water, juice and soup.
Hope you both feel better soon – lots of work for you out there.
