Feline Friday is here again!! Just in time to cheer up the end of another long week in this time of the pandemic.
And it was a good week for photos of our feline household. I’ve been revisiting some of my vintage lenses with my newest camera (a Canon M6 Mark II), forcing me to have the camera in hand more often than usual. The result–more photos to share of our two special cats.
Not much news. Kali’s mouth seems to be fully healed after the dental surgery several weeks ago. She’s able to eat her favorite dry cat food again. And you’ll notice in the photos that she doesn’t appear to have lost any weight during the recovery period!
And Romeo…he’s hanging in there. There’s a breakthrough that you’ll see among this week’s photos, with Kali and Romeo sleeping within just a few inches of each other. Romeo was there first, and had been enjoying the afternoon sun. As the sun spot moved, Kali moved over as well, did some impromptu cleaning, and then settled down without apparent regard for Romeo’s presence. This isn’t yet an everyday thing, but it shows they are still making progress.
In any case, just click below to enjoy the week in photos.

Are they fighting or playing in that blurry-cat-fur shot?
Well…I’m glad you asked. It’s hard to say. Kali has a tendency to jump on Romeo, or charge and swat him. He usually just sits there and takes it, and she runs off to play with something else. She may be trying to solicit a play response, but Romeo is too old and creaky to play any of those chase games. This time he happened to swat her before she jumped on him, and it played out as a blur.
Kali and Romeo seem to be very happy! The photographs make cat lovers like myself smile!
They’re always glad to prompt a smile or two!
