Yes, it’s Feline Friday, and here’s an update.

Kinikini had to spend another night out in the garage when I forgot he had slipped past as I came into the house before dinner. He lurks by the door and tries to sneak out whenever one of us goes in or out. Usually we are able to block him, but other times we just shrug and let him go. But he’s typically anxious to get back in after just a minute or two. Unless we forget he’s out there.

So after he spent the second night in the past couple of weeks camped out in the garage overnight without food or water, I printed out this sign. If he races out there, the sign is supposed to go in a prominent spot to remind us to let him back in.

On its first deployment, Meda put it out in one spot, but that wasn’t where we were hanging out, so we never got the reminder. Kinikini did eventually start crying, loud enough to be heard inside. Door opened, scared cat raced back in, problem solved. No permanent damage.

We’ll work it out, I’m sure.
