Feline Friday: Lots of fun and games

Most of this week our living room has looked like a recess in a childcare center. Several cardboard boxes, courtesy of Amazon deliveries, were spread around the room. A large piece of brown paper, used to pack one of the boxes, was spread out and surrounded by pieces of itself, ripped off by Kali in her favorite activity, shredding paper products of all kinds. The red and purple cat tunnel is still out and available, and gets moved around the room as cats play in and around it throughout the day. The floor mats inside the front door and the deck doors are prime cat play things, and we’ve gimven up trying to keep them spread out properly. ,lIn the midst of the chaos, at least a half-dozen cat toys are in play, from a couple of tennis balls to the red “pepper” stuffed with catnip, and several small plastic balls featuring bells inside. When one of these get rediscovered, we hear about it!

In any case, there’ a lot of of play taking place in our feline family.

Kiko is demonstrating that size isn’t everything. Kinikini, our big orange tabby, outweighs Kiko about 2-1, and has thrown his weight around for years while periodically picking on Kali and Bessie. But Kiko has figured him out. Check this little video!

So it goes. Enjoy the week in photos.
