If there are many fireworks later today, several of our cats will likely get a little nervous and take refuge under furniture or in other “safe” places. Luckily, the 4th isn?t a big fireworks day in our neighborhood, so there?s little chance that any of them will really be scared. It was different when we lived in Kaaawa, which sounded like a war zone anytime there was the slightest excuse for setting off things that go BANG. Or BOOOM! The relative quiet here is welcome relief for those who live with pets.
On the other hand, national and world events are making us more than a little nervous, but that has nothing to do with fireworks, so I won?t bring up politics in this kickoff of Feline Friday.
And here come the cats.

Its good to hear that somewhere on Oahu, there is a semblance of quiet on 7/4. I never knew there was even one area which escaped the war zone that Oahu becomes.
I like the “tail” photo. He thinks he’s hiding…
You’re right on! Yes, he thought he was hidden under there. But Kiko quickly disabused him of that notion.
