I am pretty sure this photo was taken in early 2003.
By that time, we had been getting out every morning to walk down to the beach for about eight years. We’re now at 25 years, although our regular location has moved to Kahala.
In this photo, we’re posing with neighbors we often saw in those days.
I’m in front, closest to the camera, doing the selfie thing. In the background, left to right: Meda, Sandra and David Mosley, Dave and Eve Weber, and of course Zeus.
We had dinner with friends in Kaaawa again Friday night, then stayed the night so that we could get up early and walk to the far end of the beach at dawn.
This was a walk that we did most days for about 20 years.
When we moved into town, we continued the tradition on Kahala Beach.

It’s Monday. It happens to be Memorial Day. It was clear and hot this morning. And even though we were early, we saw a good number of our favorite dogs. Here they are!
