She's was hospitalized yesterday in very guarded condition. The blood test revealed previously undiagnosed feline diabetes on top of the other health problems that have followed her.

I didn't feel able to make an on-the-spot judgement when Dr. Lee Loy called with the news. And we got an update last night indicating that her overall health is making it more difficult to stabilize her immediate condition.

A diabetic cat is a serious burden. We're still weighing whether, given her other health problems, she'll have enough of a life to continue under these conditions.

It's going to be a tough day for us all.
