Messages received after Ms. Cybelle's passing

I know her last few months were made wonderful by you and Meada. The pix show us a happy mom cat and her sweet kitties. How is Duke? I wonder. You had reported that he had been moping about lately. Perhaps he knew mommy wasn't doing too well? This is very sad. When you open up your hearts and home to such interesting critters, your own vulnerability increases. It's definitely an emotional investment you make each time a new feline makes their way into your home. Let me thank you for being so kind.

I am so sorry to hear that your fears for Ms. Cybelle were realized.
But it is nice to know that for the past seven months she has known
what it is to be safe and comfortable, to have a soft place to sleep,
all the food she could eat and to be protected and loved. She had a
chance to explore the world around her under your watchful eyes, to
play, to mother her kittens and to live without fear or need. You gave
her so much, including your hearts. How much sadder it would have been
if she had lived her whole life without ever knowing any of these
things.

My condolences and sorrow over the untimely loss of Ms. Cybelle. Though
only a passing cat fan, I follow her saga on your diary with great interest. I'm sure she experienced much difficulty in her life, but I am happy she was able to spend her final days raising her kittens with such good people. I hope she finds everlasting peace with Mr. Kitten With No Name.

I was so sorry to read that Cybelle had died. Your messages and stories about her rescue and her short life gave me a look at such sweetness. It was the sweetness of such a small life and the sweetness of two people who could care for her.
I am sorry she is no longer with you all . . . and with us

We were so sad to read about Ms. Cybelle, take comfort in the fact that you gave her a wonderful life for almost 7 months. She was loved, looked after and fed on a regular basis. You got the poor dear through her pregnancy and she rewarded you with two beautiful kittens, you have half of her gift in your home, you did all you could for her, and treated her with love and kindness at the end. Bless her little heart
