For about two decades, there was a Treasure Craft factory on Maui, a joint venture of the parent company in California and a Maui economic development group.

Tourists bought brightly colored ashtrays and souveneir plates and carried them back home.

Ian thinks the colors and designs of these Treasure Craft pieces reflect the 60's mid-century sense of style. Meda somewhat reluctantly endures them. Or so she claims.
