Please correct me if I am wrong, but as I recall the Advertiser has long been concerned about the inappropriate use of government resources for clearly political reasons. Unless it has reversed this position, your unsolicited "opportunity" on behalf of the Advertiser is clearly inconsistent with that view. Is it now the Advertiser's view that the use of state resources for purely political purposes is an acceptable practice? If so, then is it OK for me to use the legislative email system and state resources to "accept" your emailed offer and make the necessary arrangements (copy proofs, payments, etc.) for the purchase of a political advertisement? I don't think so. As to your offer, no thank you. As to your selected means of solicitation, I suggest you employ another. Aloha, Joe Gomes |
