It’s funny how little changes can shake up a cat’s world.
Over the weekend, I moved an old rug-covered cat tree from a spot under a window in a back corner of our dining room to a new spot on a corner of the living room next to a window.
The move immediately attracted the cats’ attention.
Harriet, generally pretty low on the pecking order, decided it was now THE place to be. She promptly jumped up into the little tunnel and settled down. She watched the rest of the room, she napped, she watched, and she didn’t move. I think she stayed in that one spot the entire day before finally relinquishing her perch.
In any case, she’s just one of today’s Friday Felines.

Nothing else going on?
I wish I had an orange cat! All I have are 2 black and whites.
True, some people WOULDN’T allow that (cats on food prep/consumption surfaces, that is). You know, like, they been “handling” rodents and other less than sanitary things. Then again, I suppose it’s not much different than when I wake up in the morning with one sleeping on my head or parked on my chest with their eye about two inches from mine, as if to say “Yes, it IS time for you to get up and feed me.”
