Mr. Romeo welcomes you to Feline Friday, the first of the new year.

Unfortunately, he’s started the year by getting into trouble.

Although we haven’t seen any stray cats, Romeo seems to know there’s one out there, and he is in battle mode. He came back one day a little battered, and has disappeared a couple of other nights. So I’ve countered by locking all the cats in at night. I even kept Romeo inside one day when we were in town. He’s still got a drive to be out patrolling, and he is very stubborn, or perhaps just driven by instinct and hormones.

Hopefully we’ll get through this patch and back to normal soon without further injuries.

In any case, the cats wish you a happy new year.
