October 31, 2025.
It’s Halloween, and I tried to get the cats into the mood for costumes and spooky stuff.
That was an utter failure for which I should be awarded a purple heart because of my injuries.
But, just for fun, I requested an assist from Google’s Gemini AI assistant, which quickly produced these images.
I started with Kinikini, who made a very presentable lion, and then had Kiko join me for a broomstick ride over our neighborhood!
They turned out well enough that I added the two calicos, Bessie & Kali.
Giving careful instructions to Gemini was much easier than trying to get cats to into funny outfits!
Look closely at the witch flying over Diamond Head with Kiko. Gemini was able to follow instructions put me on that broom!

And, with that out of the way, back to Feline Friday and this week’s photos!
Kinikini looks good even without the lion outfit.
Enjoy!

The broomstick/witch photo is the best one! Thank you for making my day.
I hope you looked at the full-size version and realized that I was on the broomstick with Kiko!
Omg too cute! Thanks for brightening my morning.
Incredible pics! Only ever had 1 cat that would let us dress him up for occasions. Dogs are much easier. Love Miss Bessie the cheerleader. Thanks for making my morning!
I definitely would not attempt to dress up our cats. It wouldn’t work, and I would be injured! So these are AI enhanced photos! Much easier.
I do believe the version of Kali’s hula girl image you posted on the front page shows a cat with one too many paws! (Maybe you prompted “extra olive” and it mistook it for “paw”?) Delicious looking cocktail, makes me sorry I don’t drink anymore!
The version above the comments section lacks this anomaly, although the area around her left shoulder looks like there may be a cancerous tumor lurking beneath. Not to say these images aren’t utterly charming!
Well, here’s the story. In the first go-around with Gemini, it produced an image of Kali on the beach. I then asked it to add the martini, which it did, but in the process introduced the third paw. Before I noticed the problem, I uploaded those to the blog. That’s when I noticed it. I asked Gemini to remove the extra paw, but for some reason that proved difficult. So I erased it in Photoshop, and uploaded the corrected photo. Somehow they are both in play. If we weren’t on vacation in Portland, I would have sorted it all out earlier. But I’m glad to see that some readers take close looks at these creations!
