The original negatives of these photos were stored under far less than archival conditions for 25 years before I retrieved them in about 2002. It's sad to see what time and heat will do. The film's emulsion has dried and cracked, leaving visible crazing which looks like a dust spread randomly over the images and creates an overall graying of the image. The 35mm negatives on Kodak Tri-X film were scanned using a Minolta Scan Dual III film scanner, then processed via Adobe Photoshop for display on the web.
