Intermediate Court of Appeals postpones hearing on campaign spending case

The Intermediate Court has postponed its hearing in the case of Charmaine Tavares Campaign v. Barbara Wong, in her capacity as executive director of the Campaign Spending Commission, which had been scheduled for this Wednesday morning, according to a notice posted on the courts’ web site.

The Judiciary announced that the postponement was necessitated because one of the judges has to deal with a “private family emergency”.

The hearing will be rescheduled at a later date.
