Another winter morning

[text]This was taken on the beach in Kaaawa yesterday morning (Wednesday). The tide was high and the clouds held the threat of rain, but we made it home without having to open our umbrellas. Temperature about 70 degrees.

That’s winter in Kaaawa.

That’s a funny reaction. The point here is that we’re up to walk to the beach and watch the sun rise. That’s when I’m there, camera in hand, day in and day out. What you see is what you get. In the summer, when the sun comes up earlier than we manage to walk, the photos are different because the sun is already up.

I was just thinking: Maybe you can’t see the sun set on the horizon, because you are facing east? Which explains the sun rise.

Ah, well, Ian, keep doing what you’re doing! Never mind me. LOL.

There’s some over-intellectualizing going on above.

The photo instantly evoked for me lava going into the ocean as it is now in Puna: red/orange fire pouring into the ocean.

It made me feel the heat of creation, even tho’ I don’t know if there is a creator and am comfortable not knowing.

    Who’s overintellectualizing now?
