It’s another Feline Friday, and all of our eight cats appear in this week’s photo gallery, with guest appearances by Anna Banana, who lives next door, and Baby, from the other end of Kaaawa.
But this is Ms. Annie in a spare chair that sits in a corner of our dining room. It goes with our dining table, but only gets pressed into service when we have more than four people at the table. This has been Ms. Harry’s favorite sleeping spot, which means that stealing some time in it is a favorite pastime of others. This photo catches a brief takeover by Annie, and there’s another picture this week of Romeo relaxing in the same chair. The little dominance hierarchies in this little household of cats are subtle, and this is one of the overt areas of contention.
Harriet’s painting is a nice original oil painting of Kauai, with great light and colors. It’s signed by a Del Kirby, but I don’t have any information about this artist. If you know more, please pass it on.
