Given the stretch of hot, dry, sunny weather, it’s hard to keep in mind that the Summer Solstice, and the official start of summer, are still days away. This was the view on the beach in Kaaawa early one morning this week. We’re still carrying our umbrellas, although now they’re used to create portable shade on the long, hot walk home.
