It was drizzling when we left the house shortly after 6 a.m. today for our walk down to the beach and dawn.
It the light rain kept falling through the whole 3-mile walk. That would have been okay, except for the wind. Rain and wind mean we get home pretty wet. And we did.
This was the view from the corner of Puakenikeni and Hauhele, right in the middle of Kaaawa. We were on the way home. Ms Hina, who lives two houses from this corner, had spotted us and was already barking about the dog biscuit she expected to receive. The cloudy light brought out the deep greens, and the clouds hanging above the steep cliffs provided just the right mood for the morning.

I wanted to gaze at this photo forever. Lovely! It reminds me of a traditional Chinese painting (the mist and clouds).
