This cold is still fighting me. And here’s why.

We’ve been visiting our former Kaaawa neighbors in Burke, Virginia, somewhere in the middle of Fairfax County.

And it has been cold. Temperatures have hovered just around freezing, with the “feels like” temperatures well below that.

This photo was taken from the kitchen of our friend’s home, as a family of deer munched on a couple of frozen pumpkins that were smashed against a tree and busted open.

Bummer to get sick during this kind of visit….

We’re heading for Dulles in a few minutes to start the trek home.

Unfortunately, we’re routed through LAX where a big storm is supposed to be hitting today. No flight delays showing yet, but we’ll just see.
