We were lucky enough to start the new year right. First, a walk on the beach at dawn. Then, just a few hours later, a New Years Day brunch at the home of friends just around the corner in Kaaawa. A feast, beginning with waffles (mine, shown here, with whipped cream and fresh berries) and quickly moving into an incredible variety of food.
