Feline Friday is back for another week. And it’s a state holiday. Does that mean they’ve finally given our felines the recognition they deserve? Well, short answer…No. It’s officially “Statehood Day,” commemorating Hawaii’s joining the 50 states. Not everyone feels it is a celebratory moment. But that’s another story.
I’ll let Mr. Duke introduce this week’s cats. This is where I found him this morning when we returned home from our early walk. He was hiding behind a chair in the living room. He used to just hide behind our bed. I’m pretty sure he’s hiding because he worries about being grabbed, stuffed in a carrier, and driven off the Kaneohe for another appointment at the vet. He’s right to worry, of course, since he and Silverman need periodic rechecks. I am surprised, though, that his memory is this long.

Looking at the photos, I’m surprised that Romeo doesn’t appear this week. I’m not surprised about Ms. Annie, though. She’s been spending a lot of time outside. Too much time, actually. The last several nights, she’s slept in our bed, then got up when I was rousted, and immediately disappeared out the door and didn’t return until it was time for dinner to be served. It must be a good hunting season, although she hasn’t brought any prey home. We’re going to lock her inside for a day or two, and try to break this latest wandering behavior. We’ll see.
Anyway, enjoy all of today’s cats. Click on Duke’s photo for more.

Silverman’s looking pretty good!
Ian, What do you know about the expansion plans (tiome shares) for the Hilton in Waikiki?
Apparently some folks are really concerned about safety as streets, during construction, are narrowed to the extent that emergency vehicles can’t get through
