Our early morning walk on Sunday began at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, proceeded through the Liliuokalani Gardens next door, and continued on towards downtown before we turned around.

It’s a wonderful walk, which look forward to on every trip to Hilo (our favorite interisland destination).

The sun is hitting the upper slopes of Mauna Kea, and will slowly move down the mountain as the sun rises.

Lots of canoe clubs are based there along the bay front.
