Romeo’s “Wake-up call” gets discovered

18,702.

That’s how many views Mr. Romeo’s “Wake-up call” video had gotten as of early this morning, almost all in the last six weeks. In the prior 15 months, fewer than 200. So he’s suddenly become famous!

I didn’t discover it until I started getting emails from YouTube letting notifying me about incoming comments. There weren’t that many comments, less than two dozen, but then I noticed the number of views was over 18,000!

I haven’t figured out just how this has happened. Anyone know how to do that kind of forensics?

In any case, I’ll have to open a can of kitty tuna or something to celebrate Romeo’s new found fame!

Oh, here’s the video that launched Romeo into stardom, in case you missed it. Originally posted June 13, 2010.

Yup, that’s one of they first things they learn in cat school. Don’t know how much of the claws Romeo uses, but Bikini and Tikit use just enough to make sure we know they are there.

Ian, it is a well known fact that the internet was created with the sole purpose of sharing cat videos so it comes as no surprise that your post had so many views.

All kidding aside, on your YouTube account there should be an “Insight” tab for each of your videos and under Insight, there should be a Discovery tab as well. It shows you how people got to viewing your particular video post. Hope that helps!
