I wish I had been carrying my “big” camera on our walk this morning. It was one of those days when the color slowly seeped into the sky, and the camera with the larger electronic sensor can record a much wider range of colors between light and dark.
At first, my little Canon S90 didn’t (couldn’t?) really register the emerging colors. They just looked like burned out white. It took some fiddling with various combinations to get the camera and the sky in sync. But it finally worked.
So enjoy this little bit of Kaaawa to cheer up your Friday.

Were you shooting jpeg or raw? You would have a lot more comtrol over the image if you shoot raw.
raw. but the small sensor camera still has trouble handling that range.
I guess that’s part of the trade off when you go smaller/more mobile
