I think we have to get Mr. Romeo fitted for sunglasses so he can better act the part of the “star”!
Last night, while I was trapped in a condo annual meeting that lasted almost six hours and had more ballots than a divided Republican convention, Mr. Romeo’s YouTube video counted its 400,000th view. By this morning, it had already passed 406,000. Crazy.
Not as crazy as this morning’s weather, though. It was thunder, lightning and rain at 5 a.m. When we did the quick cat census, Ms. Annie was missing. She showed up a while later, somehow still dry. But cats aren’t really much interested in running around in the rain.
Wally is settled down on a towel that’s covering a nice, warm heating pad that Meda dug out of the closet. Romeo is on his own towel a few feet away. Annie is on the warm cable box. Duke is on one of the dining chairs. Not sure where the rest are hiding.
When I got up this morning after just 3 hours sleep, I had no photos for feline Friday. So out came the camera, and I stalked cats for a while in the dim morning light. No great outdoor shots today, way too much rain. Luckily, the felines cooperated.

Romeo reminds me of my cat Jiro who does the same thing every morning. Except he starts later at 3:30 a.m.

That Mr. Romeo is one cool cat. Could he appear to be less concerned with all this fame business? No shades necessary.
Lots of hail at our place in Kailua. Covered the ground entirely and made so much noise hitting our house that we worried it might collapse into a pile of toothpicks.
Of course the worst thing was that our cable and internet went out for half the day and we couldn’t get our Friday Morning Feline Fix!
