Feline Friday: Romeo hits 500,000 views

Mr. RomeoYes, it’s another Feline Friday.

The real news, though, is that Romeo’s “Wake-up call” video passed 500,000 views on YouTube sometime this week. I do appear in the video, but it’s really Romeo’s show.

This morning the total was up to 501,213.

But it didn’t come easy.

Romeo says he must have run into the fur ceiling.

A week ago, he soared past 480,000 views and was rapidly approach the half-million mark.

He had been going like gangbusters, adding 8,000-10,000 views every day for the previous week, and seemed likely to pass 500,000 during the weekend.

It didn’t happen. Instead, Romeo’s daily count of new views crashed as soon as he passed 400K.

What happened? Did something change?

We don’t know.

But you can see it clearly in this chart lifted from YouTube statistics. It shows Romeo was bouncing along at a steady clip and then, suddenly, the rug was pulled out from under him.

Poor Romeo.

He hadn’t even gotten used to stardom, and is he now facing life as a has-been?

Stay tuned!
