Mr. Silverman belatedly welcomes you to another Feline Friday.
For those who don’t recall Silverman’s background…he moved in back in September 1999 while Meda and I were on the mainland for a week. When we got back home, there was this strange cat on the deck making himself right at home with our other cats. He even taught himself to come through the cat door when it was time to eat, and proceeded to demonstrate his prowess.
We never did find out where Silverman came from. He spent years just coming in for meals and then disappearing. But, in his golden years, he’s become almost a full-time indoor cat. He’s also one of our two diabetic cats, so he needs (and gets) a lot of TLC these days.
He’s going to make a visit to our vet on Sunday, just for a general check-up. Annie’s going along too, since she’s overdue for a regular check as well.
By the way, perhaps Romeo’s star hasn’t permanently faded. His video added another 22,000 hits this past week. So he “celebrated” by going out and getting in another scrap with an unknown opponent. Nothing serious, but he does have a new injury on his left shoulder, the first after several weeks of being good and staying out of trouble.
In any case, enjoy all of our Friday Felines.

“We never did find out where Silverman came from.” Israel?
That is a fine set of portraits. Ms. Annie appears to be high and spacy from the mouse tidbits.
